For best viewing, Java from Sun Microsystems, PowerPoint from Microsoft, and DVD capability for Windows Media Player are required.
January, 2004 -
THE FOAM BOOK has grown over the past few years to include new topics as well enlarging the original topics. This required a change in format from the original, eliminating the page numbering system and replacing that system with pages identified by topic, dust control, for instance. Now each topic is displayed on a separate page, thereby allowing improved web page management, specifically, adding information to a specific topic or adding additional topics. Eventually all the linked references will be Adobe *.pdf format (completed in March, 2004), eliminating all of the *.html documents currently present. This is most important for the rather lengthy patent list linked to the web page.
Undoubtedly some errors will be generated by this conversion, so if readers notice them, please send me an e-mail message.
Thank you again for visiting THE FOAM BOOK.
January, 1998 -
THE FOAM BOOK has been assembled as a mechanism for concentrating the information resources relating to some aqueous based foam systems, their technological applications, published papers, documents, and patents, as well as identifying the major participants involved with the technology developments.
THE FOAM BOOK utilizes as many hyperlinks to other resources as possible, involving e-mail addresses, web pages, as well as secondary sources where information can be obtained - libraries, reference sources, trade associations, laboratories, etc. Where possible, technical papers and patents are directly available on this web site in HTML format.
Foamman is only providing information gathered through normal activities, and makes no suggestion that these web pages represent a comprehensive literature search. However, the information provided will allow an interested person to start the information flow, hopefully leading to the answers desired.
The selection of topics is arbitrary with no intent to malign those who work in the aqueous foam application areas, but are omitted - cosmetics, personal care products, and conventional cleaning systems - are some of the areas omitted for a variety of reasons - no experience, limited information, too large a topic, limited interest, etc. Some editorial comments have been added.
The information provided is entirely "public domain," thereby, obviously, does not include some of the technology being practiced and being developed commercially.
Thank you for visiting THE FOAM BOOK.
